Project-based sourcing support for custom, non-standard and specialized products that require supplier development, sampling and careful coordination.
FEIYU provides project-based sourcing and manufacturing support for custom, non-standard and specialized products that do not fit a standard catalogue or require more careful supplier development.
These projects may involve buyer drawings, reference samples, multiple materials, several manufacturing processes, custom tooling or coordination between more than one supplier. We help organize the requirements, identify suitable production resources and manage key communication points from initial review to production follow-up.
Typical Project Scope
Custom components and product assemblies
Non-standard industrial products based on drawings
Products developed from approved reference samples
Low- and medium-volume specialized manufacturing projects
Products requiring custom molds, tooling or fixtures
Multi-material products combining metal, rubber, plastic, textile or composite materials
Projects involving several manufacturing processes or suppliers
Replacement products requiring specification and sample comparison
Additional Product Categories
Fiberglass and composite products
Packaging, cartons and paper-based products
Felt, textiles, bags and selected household products
Glass products and related manufactured items
Fitness, pet, toy and leisure products
Furniture, storage products and selected consumer goods
Other region-specific products subject to project evaluation
Important Project Considerations
Custom manufacturing projects require clear requirements before suppliers can provide reliable quotations. Product application, dimensions, materials, tolerances, appearance standards, expected quantity, packaging and acceptance criteria should be confirmed as early as possible.
If a project requires a mold, fixture or special tooling, the tooling cost, ownership, maintenance responsibility, expected service life and storage arrangements should be agreed before payment.
A reference sample can help communicate appearance and function, but it should not replace written specifications. The approved sample, drawing version and technical requirements should be recorded as the basis for production.
How We Support Buyers
Review the product concept, drawings, samples and intended application
Clarify missing information and identify key technical questions
Search for suppliers with suitable processes and project experience
Verify supplier identity, production capability and communication quality
Coordinate quotations, samples, tooling and specification revisions
Prepare supplier comparisons and project recommendations
Follow agreed production milestones and unresolved issues
Arrange product checks based on approved samples and specifications
Review packaging, labeling and pre-shipment preparation
Information Buyers Should Provide
Please provide product photos, drawings, reference samples, intended application, materials, dimensions, tolerances, functional requirements, appearance standards, estimated quantity, target price if available, required certifications, destination country and target delivery date.
Not every custom project can be accepted immediately. We begin with an initial feasibility review and confirm the proposed service scope, schedule and quotation according to the actual complexity of the project.
FEIYU provides sourcing, supplier verification and project-coordination support. Product engineering design, intellectual-property clearance, accredited laboratory testing, regulatory certification, international logistics and customs clearance are not included unless separately arranged through qualified third parties.
